Okay, so I THINK this will be the last movie review that I’ll do for the night. I saw Warm Bodies in theaters about a month ago and it’s cute. Certain points created a collective groan of disgust (warning- with zombies there comes gore) in the theater but other than that it was fine. So the movie is about a zombie apopcalypse type thing that happens in the near future and centers around a zombie named R (since he doesn’t remember his real name). He narrates the story and seems to have all these great thoughts in his head, yet he can’t express them since he’s a zombie. He later meets a girl…whose name I conveniently can’t remember and am too lazy to look up, who he develops a sort of infatuation with. It’s like love at first sight except she doesn’t really like him at first and he’s kinda holding her captive. I’m not gonna give the whole story away, but i think it’s safe to assume that you suspected a happy ending. I would definitely classify this movie under romantic comedy, although a different kind of romantic comedy. Not really the Sandra Bullock- Ryan Reynolds sort, but it’s still the same basic idea. i LOVED the ending though, it was probably the best part of the movie, SO CUTE. I have to admit the beginning was a little slow for my taste and I got a little bored, but it definitely caught my attention later on.
Something to look out for if you haven’t seen the movie yet: Notice any other famous love story this movie parallels? ;)

Yay movie number 2! So i watched this movie with my cousin in theaters at the very beginning of 2013, and let me just say that this is hands down on of the best movies I have ever watched. The costumes, makeup, set, acting, and just everything was so over the top (and I mean that in a good way). I think I bawled my eyes out AT LEAST 5 times in the movies, and I could hear the sniffles around me.. even the people who were trying to conceal it (Yes, I’m talking to you 40 year old man with his family). I loved loved loved the cast and they left me thinking abotu the movie for literally a week after I had seen it. Just everything was done with such emotion that it made it want to jump into the movie and hug them, regardless of whether I got shot or not in the process of the battle. I think that I’m probably a little biased since I have a weird love for musicals and I saw this musical live when I was about 8, but STILL. It was a great movie. Hands down one of my favorite.

P.S.- Did anyone else laugh whenever Russel Crowe started singing? No, just me? Okay i’m a horrible person I know
P.P.S. (is it p.p.s. or p.s.s.? who knows)- Eddie redmayne is  FINNNEE

Soooo I guess I’ll start out with this movie, since Silver Linings Playbook is the most recent movie that I’ve seen. I also would love to add in that I am totally starting up this whole blog because I am procrastinating on showering and doing hw. Yep, gross I know. ANYWAYS, overall I thought the movie was good.. not life-changing but definitely good. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were excellent in this movie and I think that watching it made me realize again just how incredibly good-looking Bradley Cooper is (..let’s just ignore the fact that he’s almost 40). They both gave an outstanding performance in their acting, and I can see why Jennifer Lawrence got her Oscar. To be completely honest though, the movie wasn’t really as great as it was hyped up to be. I mean yeah it was cute and touching and all that great stuff but i don’t really see how this movie got nominated for so many oscars. And there were some parts where I thought Bradley Cooper’s performance was better than Jennifer Lawrence (and i’m not just saying that because I am biased towards his good looks). In a sense it was just predictable (as all movies are I guess) but nevertheless I still liked it a lot. Is it a little weird that I finished the movie feeling a little depressed rather than uplifted though? Maybe just me.

Well hey hey there! Just starting out this new film blog and tumblr.. let’s see how this goes. SO I watch a LOT of movies in the course of a year. I love movies. It always seems to take your mind away from everything, even if it’s a horrible movie, because then you’re still thinking about how horrible that movie is instead of your own problems. So i decided that I would record the movies that I have watched in 2013 and what I personally thought about them. In no ways is this going to be a professional review AT ALL. I’m a teenage girl, I’ll give my teenage thoughts. Who knows if anyone’s ever gonna read these except for me. Maybe i’ll even do reviews on movies that i’ve already seen in the past. Who knows.
